Chicago, IL - Newborn Lifestyle with Alina Renert Photography

I'm always super excited when I'm hired for lifestyle sessions. As much as I love posed newborn photography, I love the intimacy and documentary feel of lifestyle sessions in family homes. Having said that, when I'm working in a space I know, I am have a routine and flow already setup. When I'm traveling to a clients home, especially one that ended up being 40 miles from me, I knew I had to grab more than I'd need so I would not be under-prepared once on 'set'. When I arrived at Ilyssa and David's home I was welcome by beautiful gray and white tones. A simple, clean and modern design, I was in love!
Little Raia wasn't so little already, at 6 weeks new she was all sorts of squishy rosy cheeks and beautiful piercing blue eyes. Our intention was to try lulling Raia to sleep and then attempting a few ''newborn'' poses. I always remind parents that their sweet little pea is the BOSS, they run the show and we dance around them :)
Raia, wasn't too keen on the idea of sleeping. She didn't cry but was fully awake and I simply adore when little one pear into the camera.
As mommy and daddy enjoyed their precious baby girl by bonding with her and as a family, I was there to capture the sweet kisses, smiles, and snoozes.
Raia, was an absolute dream and I'm ecstatic that I was able to capture these memorable moments in her first few weeks of life.
