I'm always so excited when I'm contacted for maternity photos, they are my favorite sessions. The bond between a mother to be and her growing belly is a beautiful site to witness. I was instantly drawn to Erica as we chatted on the phone of all the possibilities for her session. She's one incredible woman, just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Erica expressed the importance of wanting outdoor snow images at Humboldt Park and I had prayed for snow for two weeks...as the days approached and the snow started back up unfortunately Erica was placed on bed rest. Walking around Humboldt Park was now out of the question as her and her babies safety always comes first. We decided to stay indoors at her mother’s house and I was welcomed with beautiful large windows and amazing bookcase full of colorful books! The confidence that Erica exudes and her contagious smile made me want to never put my camera down. We were lucky enough that the snow was fluffy and it wasn't horribly freezing out, so we took advantage and went outside to the backyard to capture those few special snow images that Erica wanted so much! The ground was uneven and thankfully ONLY I fell 3 times while Erica maintained upright on both feet the entire time :)
I cannot wait to meet these two sweet little girls who I hope are just as beautiful and vibrant as their mama.
