Vernon Hills, IL - Cake Smash with Alina Renert Photography
Our original session date was cancelled due to rain, sickness and a puffy eye :( So when we rescheduled for 4th of Juy and they again predicted rain, we took our chances with Mother Nature and continued on!
Katie, may have missed her nap and feeding but she loaded up on mommy and daddy cuddles and some quality bonding over cake with Mia. What a great big sister, Mia sat next to Katie and showed her just how yummy her Tiffany themed cake was. Helping her try it out and taking a few nibbles her self.
This was actually the first time I've had a sibling join in or help along in the cake smash process and I have to say I really like how it helped and they were able to share in this first together. Not only did Mia join in on the fun, but mommy and daddy also jumped in for a little ''smashing'' of cake of their own. I love a family that can relax and just have fun like that!
Katie was enjoying the cake soooo much it had to be taken away, only to realize there was barely anything left of it. Usually babies only smear the frosting and most of the cake is left bare and mostly intact, but little Katie wasn't about to waste a perfectly yummy Mariano's cake. hehe
She wasn't the biggest fan of the bubble bath, but never the less, still looked absolutely adorable!!
