"A mother's joy begins when new life is stirring inside... when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone." - Author Unknown

We were afraid we would not be able to do this session. The first time around, Carla had her make-up done and was all dolled up. We arrived at the same location and within seconds it began to downpour. In the 5 minutes we attempted to stay under the trees, hoping it would pass we were soaked from head to toe! Standing there drenched trying to cover my gear from being damaged through we were left with no choice but to reschedule.

We reschedule for a different day and I came down with a horrible cold, and being around an expecting mom and a fever...just isn't what I prefer to do. So again, we rescheduled and we knew we didn't have much more time left as your little prince was going to making his appearance soon. The day we had scheduled was a 20 degree drop in temperature, super windy and very true to Chicago nature cold! Mind you the day prior was 85 and sunny :)

Carla was amazing!! Completely in love with her belly and patiently waiting for the arrive of handsome little guy. A total natural in front of the camera, taking great direction and up for anything. As the session moved on it only got more and more windy. When we originally spoke we had wanted a beach session with flowing wind and a beautiful sunset. As we made our way to the beach it was bone chilling cold, gusting wind but the most beautiful calm sky and the shore had risen up much higher than usual with muddles creating amazing reflections. Carla was all for it! Wanting that last stunning sunset image we had talked about for months she bared the cold, jumped into the cold and wet sand and posted beautiful for the 10 seconds that I needed go get exactly what we had been envisioning.

I'm over the moon about this session and I hope you will be too :)
