I couldn't wait to photograph this mama! When we first spoke over the phone I could sense I'd absolutely love working with her and I loved this session!! 
When we had spoken about the session we had talked about the beach and getting in the water, not everyone is brave enough but it's truly stunning when it happens.

As I arrived at our location it was 83 degrees, sunny and with a slight cool breeze. I was concerned I had dressed too warm actually, as I walked scoping for the perfect spots to start the session the sky turned dark, the wind picked up and the temp dropped enough to make my knuckles turn white! As Lindy and Matt arrived with their sweet pup I was very concerned about it storming right then and there. You could see the storm/fog at the beach line and we weren't too far way. They had driven over an hour in traffic to their session so we decided to make the best of what light we had and continue until it either stormed or there was no more available light. Lindy had mentioned to me her favorite color was yellow and I had spent the previous night hand making a gorgeous full tutu skirt just for her session! Take a guess how many people it takes to make a full tutu skirt...four!! I'm lucky enough to have the more supportive husband and family to entangle themselves in tulle and subject themselves to 600 yards of TULLE! Yes, the skirt has 600 yards of tulle! It turned out perfect and all the hard work was totally worth it as Lindy looked beyond spectacular in it. 

As we came to the beach the wind only picked up more but the water was calmer and the storm was no longer at the horizon threatening us. Lindy changed into lace Siri Gown by the one and only Sew Trendy Accessories and with her blonde curls, sandy beach and wispy sky she looked like a real mermaid standing there perfectly poised with her belly bump.
