I probably say this too often, but I LOVE my clients!! Each has their unique story of how they met, how their journey to parenthood starts and the love I witness between them. These lovebirds were scheduled for a sunset maternity session in mid May!! Thanks to the 'wonderful'' spring/summer that Chicago has been having we weren't able to do their session until late June. The scheduled day of our session, yet again rain was predicted. We decided that we would take our changes with some outdoor moments captured with Daddy and could always do Mommy alone on another day if it down poured on us. The lack of sun, wasn't an issue by any means as the sky was painted with beautiful moody clouds. Much to my happiness their puppy, Mia, was brought along for the fun. When working with dogs and little kids, we tend to 'meow', bark and make overall odd random noises. This brings the attention of the dog/kids to the camera or more or less to the location where the sound is coming from. More times than not, this always works wonders on the parents ;) Causing lots of laughs and genuine moments to captured. So be it if I'm known as the barking/meowing photographer! Whatever it takes to get that laugh, smile or fun moments from my clients I'm happy to do.
