There was no shortage of laughs during Ashika and Ari's maternity session. They are a wonderfully fun couple, and their session was a great time for all of us! I first met Ashika and Ari back in March when they visited the studio before booking their maternity and newborn sessions. Ashika loved being able to see the selection of maternity gowns in person, and they both were excited looking through all of my newborn props and accessories. 

Ashika and Ari knew that they wanted both outdoor and studio maternity portraits, so my hybrid session was the best choice for them. I love hybrid sessions of any kind because it gives my clients not only the best of two worlds (in this case outdoor and studio), but also a gallery with so much variety. The day of their session, I met Ashika and Ari at a nearby forest preserve. It was a beautiful and sunny day, and even semi-warm for the season we have had this year. Ari was a great assistant to me, and easily brought out Ashika's natural smile.

These two have such a beautiful love for each other. It was heartwarming to watch them together with nothing else to do besides be together in the moment. When we got back to the studio, Ashika was able to relax some because there was no more walking involved! She chose several gorgeous gowns that made her look and feel like a goddess! Ashika also had a couple requests for setups a little outside my normal workflow but I was up for the challenge! I love how they both turned out. Can you spot which images they are?
